A WASTE-FREE
HALTON ECO FESTIVAL IN 2010

Dear sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and visitors,

Let’s recycle, compost and produce as little garbage as possible at the Halton Eco Festival.

We want you to help us make the tenth annual Halton Eco Festival a waste-free event.

We can do this by recycling and composting everything we can on Saturday, April 17 and Sunday April 18, 2010 at the Glen Abbey Rec Centre in Oakville.

A small team of volunteers will be overseeing this aspect of our eco event and we ask that you give them your maximum cooperation.

Our goal of having a waste-free environmental fair has been promoted by and will be under the direction of Barbara Frensch; she recently won an award for volunteers in Burlington because of her dedication to waste management issues in her community.

There will be great food and meals available. Please be sure to use our blue boxes for recyclables and our green carts for organic waste collection at the Halton Eco Festival.

We know that we will be very proud of your efforts and we look forward to telling others about this achievement for sustainability in the future!

Thanks again, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and visitors for your commitment to being a big part of a waste-free community event!

Sincerely,
Stephen Dankowich, executive director,
Oakville Community Centre for Peace, Ecology and Human Rights
